We have published a new preprint, first-authored by Chundra Cathcart from the University of Zurich and in collaboration with many colleagues from our chair in Passau. The study titled "How communicatively optimal are exact numeral systems? Once more on lexicon size and morphosyntactic complexity" is now available on arXiv.
I have published a new preprint in collaboration with Tihomir Rangelov, Luca Ciucci, John Burgess, Riccardo Rost & Johann-Mattis List. The study titled "Integration of Linguistic Legacy Data Collections through Digital Scholarly Editions: A Case Study on Vanuatu Languages" is now available on Humanities Commons.
Very happy to announce that our paper “Partial Colexifications Improve Concept Embeddings” (with Johann-Mattis List) has been published in the conference proceedings of the Association for Computational Linguistics. Two more papers that I have co-authored were published with SIGTYP: "Annotating and Inferring Compositional Structures in Numeral Systems Across Languages" (with myself as first author) and "Unstable Grounds for Beautiful Trees? Testing the Robustness of Concept Translations in the Compilation of Multilingual Wordlists" (first-authored by my colleague David Snee).
Two new preprints have appeared on arXiv: "Annotating and Inferring Compositional Structures Across Languages" (with Christoph Rzymski, Luca Ciucci, Kellen Parker van Dam, Alžběta Kučerová, Katja Bocklage, David Snee, Abishek Stephen, and Johann-Mattis List) and "Unstable Grounds for Beautiful Trees? Testing the Robustness of Concept Translations in the Compilation of Multilingual Wordlists" (with David Snee, Luca Ciucci, Kellen Parker van Dam, and Johann-Mattis List).
I held an invited talk on word embeddings as part of the lecture series "Methoden To Go" at the University of Passau.
I have started my PhD at the University of Passau.
